Don't Breathe Spoiler Alert!

I went to go see Don't Breathe last night and I thought it was amazing. I don't usually like horror movies as these days they seem to contain the same jump-scare tactics. I am sad to say that usually when I go see these movies I either fall asleep or laugh throughout it.
Don’t Breathe I thought was going to be the same thing, but when seeing the trailer for it I thought it would be cool to watch. I went believing that these teens were going to try and rob this poor blind man’s house and get thrown for a loop when the old man turns out to be an army veteran and kicks major butt. So I went believing that I was going root for the old man because those kids had no right to be in his house.
The first thing that happened that started to push me over to the teens side is seeing Rocky’s (Jane Levy) home life and hearing of her abuse. When hearing and seeing these things you want to see her succeed in getting this money and removing her little sister from the environment.
This was a good point, but I still believed that they were in the wrong because you discover that not only is the man blind he also lost his daughter when she was ran over by a car. She did not get justice either, the girl who ran his daughter over was rich and her family paid the man off to keep quiet.
This all being said they decide to do the burglary with the man in the house before they even knew he was blind. So I was still rooting for the blind man because of their stupidity and arrogance.
They commence with the burglary and the first guy, Money, gets killed by the old man. Alex (Dylan Minnette) who was first turning out to be the only smart member of the group by leaving and calling it a quits on the burglary, returns to save his obvious crush Rocky. This earn a loud groan from the crowd.
Throughout the movie the fight went on and it is revealed that the old guy is actually a terrible person. He had kidnapped the girl that killed his daughter and was forcing her to give him another. Yes, he impregnated her.
The old man and also Alex made astounding revivals during the movie. Also though the old man was a terrible person he get points for style in ways of getting around and attempting to kill.

Overall I thought the movie was original, clever and unpredictable. This all made for one of the best horror movie I have seen in a while.  Word to the wise when being in a horror movie situation from my mother: Crazy don’t kill easy. Hence make sure your villain is dead before you celebrate.
